FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) and SAFER Start here!
Step 1: Obtain DUNS Number
Visit https://fedgov.dnb.com/webform/ or call 1(866) 705-5711 to register and receive your DUNS number.
NOTE: This process takes one to two days to complete.
Step 2: Register with SAM
Visit https://sam.gov/content/home and complete the online registration process.
The authorizing official will also be required to send a notarized letter with the organization's EIN to SAM.
NOTE: This process will take up to two weeks to complete registration and up to five weeks if EIN must also be set up.
Step 3: Register for FEMA Go
Visit https://go.fema.gov/register and complete the registration for FEMA Go.
NOTE: Approval for FEMA Go is the same day.
Step 4: Download and Complete our Checklist
To better understand your organization and create the best applications, there are some things we need to know.
Please download, complete, and return the G&G AFG and SAFER checklist.
After completing the first four steps, it is important that you set us up as team members in your FEMA Go account.
While in your FEMA Go account click on "Team Members" then add both jay@ggprocess.com and deb@ggprocess.com as "Authorized Organization Representative".
AFG Final Step: Complete the FEMA AFG Checklist
